Blessed

We left my parents Christmas morning and traveled back to Kevins mom's to celebrate the rest of the day. We had a good time visiting, eating, and watching Ryder open all his new toys. He hit a wall from all the travel and crashed. He slept most of the afternoon and night.

Finding his gifts under the tree
Checking out the cool new tractor from Uncle Brian.

Playing with Uncle Brian's I-phone...loves all things electronic already
Love this face when he study's things with his pudge cheeks.

We were once again blessed with love and generous gifts from our family. I can't thank God enough for our friends and family this time a year. Sometimes I pause and realize I am in a beautiful season of life. I currently have many blessings, and people in my life that may, and will not always be there. So it may not be summer literally, but our life season is. Things are full bloom and sunshine here. Winter can stay far away.

May God bless you, and yours with love, joy and peace this holiday season!

Christmas time

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We started our week by traveling to my parents home 2 hours west for a few days. It was nice and relaxing. We ate way too much. It is time for serious diets in this home.
Here is the finished tree we all picked out after Thanksgiving. It was a blue spruce and very nice to look at. However the needles dropped off everytime you barely touched the tree. It made a huge mess.

Ryder looking at his Christmas book with Grandpa. He loves this flip book that counted down all the days in December leading up to Christmas. He tore a few pieces off.

Ryder loved the blue scarf.
Someones sleepy already

Ryders first gift to open...an ornament from Aunt Erin, Uncle Jesse & LB...within seconds of being opened it was broke....he cried.

Opening his new potty chair...what a goofball.

After the boys went to sleep it was time for games and fun. The group decided on scattegories.
We were all supposed to get dressed up in crazy christmas sweaters, but only my mom and Erin found one. Maybe next year we will coordinate this better.
More pictures to come. I am waiting for the big family photo we took this year.
Hope everyone continues to enjoy the holidays.

Holiday Cheer

We did a mini-photo shoot with my little guy the other day. We tried to get one good shot for our Christmas cards. My model did okay, but grew restless quick. Thought I would share a few pics that were not chosen.

Ryder is loving everything Christmas so far. He loves the tree, ornaments, Christmas books, and movies.

I am not fond of his habit of hand picking ornaments off the tree daily, but we try to tell him to put them back. He usually runs over and throws the said ornament onto the tree.

Did I mention how much I love my little Moosh pork? He is into everything and using new noises daily. The latest growl is one of his favorite ways to communicate to us.
Can't wait for all the Holiday family time ahead.

Decoration time!

After the tree farm we returned to my parents to decorate the tree. The boys loved getting into all the ornaments and fake popcorn strings my mom has had since the 80's. I love to watch these 2 experience things for the first time. Now I need to get motivated to finish all the decorations here at home before Christmas is over!

Aunt Erin & LB...he loved the gold ornaments.

We did not complete the tree so there is no end shot. Hope to get one when we return for Christmas in a few weeks. Can't wait to see my family and have lots of good food with laughs.

fun-filled-family adventure

Last weekend we packed up the family truckster and headed out to a tree farm near my parents in Oregon. We could not have had a more beautiful day in November. We had a good time and lots of laughs watching my dad and brother saw down the tree.

Ryder loved running free through the hundreds of trees.
Playing peek-a-boo with daddy.
My dad trying to get Ryder to pose next to a tree his size.
So I try....no such luck...he broke free.
