Christmas Eve & Day

We kicked off Christmas Eve at our house. We read the "Night Before Christmas" and other Christmas books. We let Ryder open his first Christmas gift.

The beginning of Christmas morning. Ryder loved tearing off all the paper. It was fun to watch him enjoy it all more this year.
Our Biggest Christmas gift this year "Baby Wyatt"

Ryer opening Bullseye from Toy Story. He loves all the movies.

We headed over to Grandma Thurston's for Christmas later that day.
Ryder likes Tipey the bird

Ryder in his new sled he calls a boat.

I tried to get Ryder to sit with his brother and Grandma for a pic, but this is the best we got.

We had a great Christmas Eve and Day. Santa was very generous to our boys this year.

Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving this past week at my parents. I stayed there a few extra days since Kevin had to hurry back to work on Friday. We had some good laughs. I missed getting good pics of the whole group and my nephew playing with Ryder. My hands have not been free to hold a camera much lately.
We had a nice fire one night. Yes those are my toes.
Ryder getting ready to go out with Grandpa. Who needs a hat when you have old ear muffs around.
My mom with Wyatt.

Ryder & Grandpa

At Olive Garden with my little guy and the fam.
These were taken Sunday after church.
Ryder was not big on sharing his chair at first.
He has mastered the evil look already.

2 smiles, 2 turkeys = TROUBLE

We are thankful to have many things this season.
Good Health
A roof over our heads
Jobs
Family
Happy and healthy children
The greatest friends and co-workers
Our backyard
Close commute to work
Days off work to spend time with friends and family
Naps
Laundry Machines
ok ok I could go on and on...
Most importantly we have God who makes all things possible.

2+ months

Just when you thought you could not love another person just as much.....

...THIS LITTLE GUY CAME ALONG.

He has already stold his mommy's heart with his smiles and coo's.

When the camera flash goes off he gets bug eyed and stops his smiles.

Love his developing thunder thighs.
Need I say more.
Today we had Wyatt's 2 month appointment. The doc said he looks great. We don't return till 4 months in February.
He took his shots like a man.
He weighed in at 12 pounds- 55%
Height 24 inches-75%
and his head is big, but I forgot how big.

Wyatt has slept once at night for 6 hours straight, but is still working on his sleep routines. Being out of town 3 nights last week through his schedule off a bit.

He continues to have some reflux issues and needs grip water at times.
Overall he is a smiley and talkative baby. He has lots of opinions right now.
He does not like his car seat or riding in the car.
He love his momma, baths, cuddles, his brother.

We are blessed with another happy, healthy baby.

my crazy life!

I have slacked on updating my blog over the past month. I wonder why...? Well its been just a tiny bit crazy at home entertaining and caretaking for a 2 year & 2 month old. I have also slacked on taking pics of my newest bundle of joy. I look back at all the pics we took of Ryder, and Wyatt is totally getting less camera time. So I decided to post what I have taken over the past few weeks.
Ryder & my friend Allison. He already loves the older ladies.

Wyatt around 7 weeks old. Most likely filling his pants.
Wyatt and Al
Tracy & Wyatt
Thank God for my friends who come visit me and help entertain Ryder.

Otherwise he torments the poor dog

A yawn

looking at his mobile and cooing

This month has brought on more smiles. We are so excited to see that side of Wyatt since he has been a little more should I say particular with his needs and wants.
All and all he gets better each week with sleep, independence and eating. He still does not like his carseat, bouncy seat or swing. These were all helpful with Ryder so I could shower or get things done around the house. So I spend a lot of time holding him or placing him in a carrier. I am trying to enjoy his demands. Because really he just loves me that much. haha
I am really excited 2 see my boys grow their relationship. I read a book yesterday that said that babies start noticing other children around 3-4 months old. Can't wait!

"A Mother's Prayer"

I happened across this on-line the other night when I was trying to find a soothing lullaby for Wyatt. He has been struggling after 6pm everynight. It takes almost 2 hours to get him to sleep. Both of us try to keep him comfortable, but his little body tenses up and he fights it.

The prayer at the end of the lullaby is beautiful. I could not articulate these words any better. Each statement resonates with my hearts desire and soul for my little boys.
