Grandma Thurston

Heading home

We are going to Grandma and Grandpa Bowmans (my parents) this weekend in Sterling. It has been over a month since Ryder has seen them. Yesterday we went to visit Grandma Thurston for a couple hours. I will be sure to post many pics after our weekend away. He also gets to see his cousin Logan on Sunday. These 2 are only 4 days a part. They are gonna be the best buds ever.

Over Christmas. Lets hope they play better this weekend.

A Miracle

I stumbled across a blog tonight that kept me up for hours, reading about a miracle baby and the power of prayer. I read all the posts for the past 3 weeks, and just teared up with empathy for this family that has endured so much since their baby was born on Jan 16. It is unbelievable to see the amount of support they have received. Thousands are praying for this baby.

It is a good reminder of how delicate life can be. I feel overwhelmingly blessed with Ryder. My love for him deepens with each passing day. I see life through a different lens. I pray for Ryder every night before he goes to bed. I hope to keep this routine as long as he lives under my roof. These prayers free me of any anxiety or worries that often nag at new mothers during the night, or over petty issues.

Chillin

Someone found a new spot to nap.

Watching Super Bowl with Uncle Brian

"Rough Day"

Ryder likes to sit in his swing with his legs propped on top of the tray. One of these days I think he will try to jump right out of the swing. He is getting stronger everyday. I have an active one on my hands.

Bath Time

Ryder had a major spit-up and poop so went right in the tub. WE finally got a smile on camera afterwards.

New Toy

Some friends from Kevins work came over Sunday and brought Ryder a Jumparoo. Ryder loves it. He jumps from side to side and stares at all his toys. He can't quite touch the floor yet so we use props. I have videotaped his fun.
