5 Months....what?

This sweet little Cherub turns 5 months old this week.
We went to his 4 month check-up last week.

He weighed in at 15 pounds (35%), 26.5 inches tall (85%).
We have another long lean one. Ryder's stats were pretty much the same at 4 months.

This little guy has learned a lot of new tricks lately. He has the biggest smile. His entire body twitches with excitement when he smiles.
He rolls all over the place to get to where he wants.
He is already trying to place his knees under his belly.
He loves his big brother.
He grabs at toys and slobbers on them.
Oh and his talking is non-stop. He is very verbal and full of noises.
He loves his baths. He kicks his arms and legs so much I have to keep a hand on him so he does not fall over. It is the cutest!

He loves his toes and knees.
He likes to eat.

He continues to melt our hearts. We fall more in love with the little guy each day.

His sleep still has some room for improvement. No bragging there. He takes at least 2 good naps a day. The nighttime is another story...he goes to bed between 7-8pm, but is up every 3-4 hours on a GOOD night. Sigh. WE have some work to do here.

We are at the point he can cry it out per doctor. According to some of the info. provided from the doc he may be a "trained night feeder." Who trained him? hmmm. I sure didn't. I guess it is time to untrain him. SO we have little goals to get him to more sleep at night.
We also were given a medication for reflux called Zantac. We are giving that to him 2 times a day.
All in all we couldn't be more happy or blessed with our baby boy.

  1. I totally feel for you on the sleep situation. I had the same issue with Luca. Max and I had to let him cry it out for a long time before he eventually got the hint. Talk about testing your marriage! Luca really became consistent when he was 11 months, so hopefully yours will catch on sooner. Just hang in there!
